Though THG’s headquarters are based in Toronto with a satellite office in Hong Kong, our sourcing expertise is firmly established throughout South East Asia including China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. We visit 100-120 factories annually and we are there for lengthy visits every 8 weeks. That’s what gives us “speed to market” and the “inside track” on future trends and advanced knowledge of R&D activity. By developing solid “factory-direct” relationships with manufacturers, we make sure they meet our exacting standards to take costs out while keeping quality in.
We maintain stringent principles around quality control, undertaking third-party factory audits, and insisting upon a detailed pre-production approval process and final shipment inspection control. What’s more, we pursue environmentally sensible practices – such as reducing excessive packaging on our products and the use of recyclable materials wherever possible.
